There’re different kinds of kachoris available in Rajasthan – pyaaz ke kachori, dal kachori and more. But the most popular among all remains the classic khasta kachori. It’s simple, crispy and spells indulgence. And the best part is, you can easily make it at home too. To help you with that, we found a recipe that can easily be replicated at home. How To Make Rajasthani-Style Khasta Kachori:

To make this dish, we need to first soak urad dal and grind it coarsely. Then, in another bowl, take fennel seeds, black peppercorns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and grind coarsely.

Now, heat oil in a pan and add hing to it. To that, add the coarsely ground masala and saute. Add the dal paste to it and mix everything together.

To it, add salt, chaat masala, red chilli powder and mix for seven to eight minutes. And the masala for the stuffing is ready.

Next, prepare the kachori dough. For that, take maida and sooji in a bowl; add salt and ajwain to it; pour some oil and dry mix. Slowly add water, knead the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Take a small round of the dough, roll it flat and add some stuffing. Tuck in the edges and press with your hands. When you get the desired shape, deep fry the kachori in hot oil.

Finally, delicious khasta kachori is ready to be relished.
